Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Grameen

Under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Grameen scheme or Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme the beneficiaries will be offered financial assistance for building their own houses. This is a scheme that has been development to provide monetary support to the underprivileged families in India to build houses. The scheme was previously launched in the year 2016-17 in three districts Lawngtlai, Serchhip and Saiha. The financial assistance will be handed over to the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA). Thereafter they will hand over these benefits to the beneficiaries. The nodal agency for the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme is the rural development department of the state government. The scheme is only applicable to the economically backward families in various Indian rural areas.
